Frozen lake

I often detour from the way and have alook around this lake, it has to be said I have never seen it frozen.

The Fieldfare

One of the many Fieldfare that have gathered on the Way to gorge on the bright red Hawthorn berries. So far this is as close as I can get without disturbing the birds that one by one take flight with a strange cackling noise that makes me feel they are laughing at my failure..

The Robin

After setting off for my morning ramble intent on taking photos of Fieldfare that have flocked here from Scandinavia I came across this Robin who was happy to wait for me to get focused unlike the Fieldfare who left early laughing. Also along the way there was plenty of Goldfinch, Greenfinch and a Bullfinch which I have yet to get.
