Brampton Valley Way. Walked it, snapped it, blogged it..

I'm very pleased to announce I have completed the Brampton Valley Way 16 miles to be precise. That's two long tunnels, numerous bridges and benches some have memorials carved on them in memory of loved ones. I have decided I will have a bench made when I am gone I want mine engraved with the words " Walked it, snapped it, blogged it"......

Just the tonic

A much needed walk was just the tonic for myself and Mrs B after a hectic week. Thankfully the skies cleared and there was an abundance of wildlife on show. I mostly walk along the way on my own so it was wonderful to walk together with butterflies, Ladybirds, Grasshoppers for company.....

Last day of July

There were lots to see today despite the unpredictable weather, starting out with a cool breeze and light drizzle the sun decided to burn through. A common blue fluttering by was only the beginning, a bee was so engrossed in gathering pollen to notice my camera. In the distance Goldfinch were busy feeding from Teasels, I was amazed to only see two birds and then move nearer to see a whole flock of these colourful birds fly away. A satisfiying last day of July....
